What is Carnforth Business Network?
Carnforth Business Network used to have the rather pompous name Carnforth and District Chamber of Trade. OK, nicer name but what is it and why does Kitty Brown Boutique belong?
It is a group of businesses who have joined together to have a single voice on matters in Carnforth. But it is more than that. The members also work to try to make Carnforth an even nicer place to work in, live in and to visit.
Volunteers from the Carnforth Business Network put up the Christmas decorations each year and organise the switch-on event. In the summer the Carnforth Business Network puts on the Arts and Crafts Festival, combining a showcase for the talented artists and craftspeople in the town and a family day of stalls, music and entertainment. Then there is the Easter eggs which appear each year on shops around Market Street.
Caroline from Kitty Brown is the Chair of the Carnforth Business Network. Like many small businesses Kitty Brown Boutique believes in putting back into the community. Not only through involvement with Carnforth Business Network. Each year we do 30 - 40 fashion shows and events where we give 10% of all sales to the organisation. We always have a charity which we are supporting in various ways, at the moment it is the Neuro Drop-In Centre. Those of you who have asked have found we are always open to giving a prize for a charity raffle. Kitty Brown Boutique has also been a leading sponsor of Carnforth Community Choir which has been promoting music, fun and well-being in our community.
So, Kitty Brown Boutique belongs to Carnforth Business Network as one aspect of being part of our lovely little town in north Lancashire.
